Art Coach
You, who have decided to bring into your home the wonderful mask art of the indigenous Kamënts̈á, can select, both for the female and male mask:
1) Its predominant colors,
2) Its main symbol, and
3) Its emotion/expression.
This pair of complementary masks, with their three fundamental parts, will tell a beautiful story of the Kamënts̈á, while reflecting your preferences and the personality you share with them.
The gift of nature
Mother earth sealed a silent agreement with the Kamënts̈á indigenous people, and granted them a tree that naturally fell (the community never chops them down) so that they can portray their story through a mask. This wood will be cut, submerged in rainwater to soften it, and prepared for giving life to a beautiful story.
The infinite in a trunk
The wood will now be carved thanks to the expertise of a master artisan and, along with the 2,000+ perfect cuts it will receive by the hands of the artist, it will unveil from its bowels the powerful human gesture that will forever represent the indigenous character and all the worldview around the diverse shapes present in nature.
Pixels in 3D
Having finished the carving process, the mask will be completely veneered with around 36.000 millimetric beads which, placed one by one in a mystical and unique way, will form symbols patterns and shapes that will tell a beautiful story of this ancestral people. It will be examined in detail by all the members of the workshop to ensure that every bead is in perfect tune with all the others and the carved gesture.
