Yellow
It represents how the Kamënts̈á culture sees the richness in everything because it sees with the eyes of amazement. When one is truly present, one is truly thankful. When one is truly thankful, abundance is multiplied. In our traditions, always in tune with nature, we give and receive in the cycles of infinite wealth.

Blue
It represents the firm and tender NO to aggression on behalf of our people. Each person in this community has a choice: joy or bitterness. Since both things are strengthened in our lives when we act according to them, we have chosen to act from joy, and that way we perpetuate peace, respect and generosity wherever we are.

Red
We don’t take anything from anyone, and we don’t allow anyone to take from us. The color red represents the fierceness with which we defend our sacred territory, our customs and our people. We´re not advocates of hurting anybody to defend what´s ours, but we will let any invader know that he is not welcome if he approaches with ambition or violence.

Orange
It represents the festive and cheerful spirit with which we celebrate our lives and the gift of nature. We remember our ancestors lovingly, promote forgiveness in our parties and give thanks for the seeding and the harvest. Un of the best ways to honor the life we were given is celebrating it with joy.

Green
It reminds us of the immense gifts that nature has made us to be healed and nurtured. What else can you ask of a mother? The sacred medicinal plants cure us and connect us with the transcendent, and the delicious varieties of food that this earth provides us, are things that always make us smile when we see the green color.

Earth tones
Our body came from the earth, and to the earth it will return. In her immense wisdom, she gives when she wants and claims back when she wants. These colors are a reminder of the greatness, the power and the imposingness of the spirit that sustains us. We don’t dominate her. She, on the contrary, dominates us. She is the center of our existence, and our body is just a beautiful extension of hers.

White
It represents the purity of attitude with which the Kamënts̈á live. We intend to be free of all corruption, ambition and selfishness that can hurt our neighbor. This immaculate quality we aim for is one of the most important foundations of our collective happiness. If my people are good, I´m strong and healthy.
